Lincoln, Nebraska, USA

The Nebraska capitol houses the core components of the state's governing apparatus. Surmounting the tower is a gold dome; surmounting the dome is a statue called The Sower. If it were built from black granite, it might remind you of Lincoln's stovepipe hat. Nebraska became a state on March 1, 1867. [2008]
