Dozens of Moorish Revival theaters and auditoriums opened across the United States in the 1920s. None of them were praying places for Muslims. In Atlanta, the Fox Theatre has survived only because Atlanta Landmarks organized a preservation drive which saved it from demolition. Next door is the AT&T Midtown Center. [2013]
