Naco, Sonora, Mexico

Somewhere in every Mexican town is a tribute to Father Miguel Hidalgo, whose place in Mexican history is seen the same as the place of George Washington in U.S. history. Hidalgo, however, was executed by the Spanish authorities almost a decade before the Revolution accomplished its goal. Why is he holding a broken chain in his hands? [2018]
