Tag der Deutschen Einheit: It's an important day in world history. Twenty-three years ago (already!) West and East Germany reunited as the collapse of Communist regimes in Eastern Europe proceeded apace. Years later, sections of the Berlin Wall lingered on the landscape. These were on display at Potsdamer Platz until displaced by redevelopment. [1994]
