Auckland, New Zealand
Sit for a while in Western Park and compare the distinguished facades of the past with the contemporary storefronts along Ponsonby Road today. Too bad Auckland lost so much architectural heritage to spurts of modernization. Still disoriented? Nothing is buried here. It's a sculpture exhibit, one of many "architectural icebergs" visible from Ponsonby.
