Kok Kodol village is one of some 140 "floating villages" on Tonle Sap (Camboida's 'Great Lake'). Houses are built on pilings and, during the wet season, when the water comes all the way to the tops of the stairs, the only way to get around is by boat. When the rains fail, though, a few strips of terra firma emerge from the lake. [20116]
