Mexicans have come to know it as El Castillo, but it was really a temple to the god Kukulkan, symbolized by the feathered serpent which crawls downs its other side every March. The pyramid is the centerpiece of the Mayan ruins at Chichen Itza. In 2007, it was voted one of the "New 7 Wonders of the World." [2013]
