Totland, Isle of Wight, England, UK

The agricultural landscapes of the Isle of Wight have become part of the island’s ‘brand.’  Scenes like this flank the footpaths that course across fields and pastures.  In England, the public has a right that is unknown in the U.S.:  the right to walk, bestowed upon the people by common law.  [2011]
