Fenwick Island Light is in Delaware, but most of us think it is in Maryland. That's because it's a few feet from the state line, the Transpeninsular boundary surveyed in 1751. At the time, Delaware was part of Pennsylvania. Not until a hundred years later was a new lighthouse commissioned to fill the gap between the Cape Henlopen Light and the Assateague Light. [2019]
