It may not be colonial, but First Presbyterian is one of the oldest churches in Georgia. Prior to the Revolutionary War, James Oglethorpe recruited many Scottish Highlanders to defend the American frontier. Their descendants were to loom large in the history of coastal Georgia, and it is refreshing to see their contributions celebrated in a fresh coat of paint. [2018]
