In American parlance, we might call it a 'farmers market,' but that doesn't fit the rest of the world. "Of course, it's a farmers market" would be the reaction. "Who else would be growing the food we eat?" Based on location, we might call this a central market. Vendors occupy a market hall in the middle of town and their displays sprawl out onto the streets.
