It looks like there is enough clay left to form the rest of the body. On the other hand, it may be just the opposite. The whole body may be returning to the sod from which it was sculpted. Perhaps these lazy legs are intriguing because we don't know whether they are being created or destroyed. And, perhaps that is the hand of the sculptor. [2011]
