In contrast to the history of drive-in restaurants, the history of drive-throughs is poorly documented. What we can say is that the first McDonald's with drive-through service was in Sierra Vista. The restaurant served Fort Huachuca during an era when soldiers were not allowed to go in anywhere off base while wearing their work duds. The year was 1975. [2018]
