Science + Technology + Engineering + Math = STEM. Flagstaff became America's first STEM City in 2012. Who else is surprised? Perhaps, as good scientists, we should ask for evidence that it deserved the notoriety. Surprised by anything else? The STEM City clock, so cleverly artistic it seems to transition the city from STEM to STEAM. The added A is for Arts. [2019]
