There's a little patch of New England in mid-Michigan, and Vermontville is its unofficial capital city. Just as you would expect, here is the
Congregational Church, planted here after a Congregational minister visited the area in 1835. Even the architecture is reminiscent of the New England "meetinghouse." [2018]
