Cheyenne, Wyoming, USA

As the first state to give women the franchise, Wyoming likes to think of itself as the birthplace of the women's right movement. As female migrants (like this one) emerged from the train station in Cheyenne in the late 1800s, they walked into a frontier realm that was more politically progressive than the more civilized world they left back east.
