New York, New York, USA

Today, the battle for marriage equality ended with a decision by the U.S. Supreme Court to uphold same-sex marriage. Where did the battle begin? Some would say here in Greenwich Village with the Stonewall riots of 1969. Our gay and lesbian friends and family asked "for equal dignity in the eyes of the law." Now, "the Constitution grants them that right." [2012]
