The Asian side of the Bosphorus is largely residential. It's packed with houses jockeying for the best view of the water. Notice how the homes at sea level represent three stages of historical preservation: on the left, fully modernized; on the right, in the process of being upgraded; and in the middle, a traditional wooden structure looking for a face lift.
