Planners in Singapore have pioneered a way to download apps to their sidewalks, almost as if they were smart phones. Underfoot are fruity medallions that transport shoppers back to the time when Orchard Mall, or Orchard Road, led to the nearby fruit groves where the custard-filled durian was the much-maligned king of fruits.
