Honolulu, Hawaii, USA

The chapel is European, the sausage tree is African, and the tombs on this site are Hawaiian. On these grounds are buried the two dynasties of Hawaiian royals: the Kamehameha rulers and the Kalakaua rulers. Before Hawaii became a U.S. territory, it was a kingdom of its own. [2011]

  1. This is great. I am doing a paper on Hawaiian architecture, specifically its affects on modern commercial roofing companies. I am researching the history of Hawaiian structures, and this is a great jumping off point for me. Thanks for sharing the information.
